Speaking to Insider, Eberhard said he realized friction was growing between himself and Musk when Tesla started getting more media attention. Musk "got mad" and would call and scream if he wasn't mentioned in an article about Tesla, Eberhard said.
For one, he said he would've worked to create a more positive culture at Tesla. "I'm a believer of treating employees with respect, and I'm not into random firings," he said. "So maybe the culture inside the company would have been a little bit nicer."
